Job responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Implementation of technology within the organization and direct the work to the relevant IT teams in order to ensure completeness within agreed timelines.
  • Evaluation, acquisition and Implementation of technology projects driven by business requirements.
  • Overseeing technical projects in alignment with organizational goals
  • Supervising a team of workers, while working closely with management, external vendors and advisors
  • Development of policies, procedures and standards for Information Technology Department
  • Participate and maintain Business Continuity Management (BCM) documentation and Disaster Recovery (DR) Drills
  • Audit related activities and Spot reviews
  • Ensuring collaboration with other institutions association bodies
  • Engage with the business and understand their needs and how IT impacts them
  • Manage the governance, planning and risk management functions and Ensures appropriate policies and controls are in place for effective IT service. Manage all areas related to Release and Change Management
  • Establish and develop appropriate policies, procedures and practices in relations to governance and planning functions
  • Ensure and Monitor effective implementations of the policies and procedures
  • Coordinate/Work effectively in the Internal Audit program with the Auditors.
  • Inform and align decision making for information technology planning, policy and operations in order to meet business objective
  • Ensure necessary awareness for the IT policies and procedures
  • Provide expert Advice and Support the IT Management to deliver services as required ad manage the overall IT Plans and budget from planning and governance point of view
  • Evaluates all IT related purchases and ensure budgetary preparation and compliance
  • Preparing financial budgets and presenting proposals for capital projects to senior executives
  • Lead technology project office to manage project activities and ensure project objectives are meet.
  • Act as a bridge between IT & Business Units in order to understand business requirements & present solutions which would result in business benefits.
  • Ensure compliance to banks and department policies and procedures in line with management consent, bank’s approved policies and regulations.
  • Support senior management in related matters.
  • Meetings with business heads on regular and need basis.
  • Smooth Implementation of all software applications and IT Projects.
  • Resolve IT Audit Issues and maintain acceptable audit rating
  • Supervise Project Management Office.
  • Supervise and Ensure Project Documentation like Requirement Specification, Functional specification, Project Plan and Project related approval documents.
  • Oversee all ongoing projects to ensure effective implementation in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate reports for management.
  • Leading Implementation of the IT strategy, by coordinating the efforts of all departments Involved (IT, Operations. HR, Risks, etc.).
  • To ensure compliance of all regulations, rules, policies, SOPs of SBP & Bank.
  • To follow superior ethical practices in dealing with clients and other stakeholders.

  • Any other task assigned by Management.

Qualification: Preferred Masters but Minimum Graduation Degree. Preferred Qualification: MS / BS computer science/Information Technology

Experience: 8+ years’ experience in Governance, Project Management in banking sector

Skills: Project Management, MS Project / Excel / Visio / PowerPoint

  • Good experience in planning methodologies and tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Good knowledge in business analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Good knowledge of all IT technical components (system integration, databases, network connectivity and communication, security etc)
  • Good knowledge in documenting business requirements.
  • Good understanding of ITIL, PMP, Regulatory Compliance requirements
